PRIVATE ONE ON ONE GUITAR LESSONS

In person or online, individual private one on one guitar lessons tailored to what you want to learn, or learn on your own with step by step guidance along the way

HOW DO LESSONS WORK?

Guitar lessons will be one hour in length, one on one in your home or online. Lessons can be held at the same time on the same day each week, or can be set up individually as a pay as you go, to accommodate your schedule.

HOW MUCH DO GUITAR LESSONS COST?

In person or online lessons are $70 per one hour lesson on a pay as you go basis. You can save money by booking lessons in groups of 4,8,12 or even yearly. The more lessons you book the more money you save.

WHAT WILL I LEARN & WILL I BE ABLE TO PLAY SONGS?

The whole point of learning guitar is to have the ability to play songs. My goal for you is to create and learn a setlist of 10 songs that you want to learn. You will also learn basic techniques, simple exercises & some basic theory to help you learn these songs.  

CAN I JUST LEARN ON MY OWN?

Absolutely! With Do It Yourself Guitar Lessons you can save time and money by learning the guitar without having to schedule regular private lessons. You will receive the same step by step instructions explaining what to practice and when to practice. You will have access to me if you have any questions or need help at any time. You can always book an individual private lesson when you need one.

The Acoustic Guitar Method.

Learn how to play the Acoustic Guitar and learn what to practice, with all the right tools to succeed!

You can learn how to play guitar by watching hours of videos but it will take about as long as a tik tok video for you to forget what you just learned. The Acoustic Guitar Method gives you everything you need to know, what to play and what to practice, to become an acoustic guitar player. You will learn single notes, chord progressions that use chords you will need to know, scales and keys. There is a section to write down notes, a section with staff & tab paper and finally a section for you to work on the songs you want to learn.

MODULE 1
First up we learn the notes on the six strings, you will learn to play with a pick, your thumb and also your fingers.
There are a few well known melodies to play and you will learn basic rhythm and timing with whole notes, half notes and quarter notes.

MODULE 2
moving on, this is the chord section. you will learn well known chord progressions using the rhythms from section one as well as learning to use a capo

MODULE 3
on to scales and keys, this will teach you how to understand what key a song is in and how to play different major and minor scales

Time to put it all together. there is room to write down notes for you to schedule out your practices, there are multiple staff pages that include TAB for you to write down your parts and finally a section dedicated to writing out the songs you want to learn with places to write out title, key and tempo

The Classical Guitar Method

Learn how to play the Classical Guitar and learn what to practice, with all the right tools to succeed!

There are some fantastic players and teachers on the internet. They have some great hacks and tricks, but each one of them had to, at some point, study the basic techniques of the classical guitar. The Classical Guitar Method covers all the basic techniques you will need to start playing and learning the classical guitar. The book covers single note melodies, using all the fingers in the right hand, basic techniques used in many pieces and studies and basic scales to help identify keys and make learning far easier. Each lesson will have a daily practice schedule so you know specifically what to work on each day.

MODULE 1
Starting off, we learn the notes on the six strings, you will learn to play with each finger including thumb, index, middle and ring. There are a few well known melodies to play and you will learn basic rhythm and timing with whole notes, half notes and quarter notes.

MODULE 2
Next up, we move to basic techniques you will find in most pieces. I cover double stops, pedal tones and sympathetic motion as well as melody in bass and treble. These will all make sense when you go through them.

MODULE 3
I top it off with scales, covering some basic major, minor, harmonic and melodic scales. Just the basics to not get too deep, but enough to get you going.
